COVID-19 TASK FORCE COMMITTEE
The 34th Grand Polemarch Reuben A. Shelton III, Esq., commissioned a COVID-19 Task Force to evaluate the fraternity's steps and recommend a plan of action to the Grand Board of Directors to protect the membership and growth of Kappa Alpha Psi throughout the duration of the worldwide pandemic. The task force was be comprised of a dynamic representation of membership, with brothers assembled from many fields of human endeavor to provide a wide scope of thoughts and solid recommendations for the proper execution of all fraternity operations in a safe and responsible manner.

Jimmy McMikle was appointed to lead that task force and set its direction and execute accordingly. Jimmy led a committee of approximately 30 Kappa men through the process of carefully examining the various operational aspects of the fraternity that would or could possibly be affected by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic. The committee critically assessed any collateral impacts and offered recommendations for that resolve.
Brother McMikle structured the task force’s work initially through the use of five subcommittees to tackled the scope of issues that faced the fraternity. The five boxes below illustrate how the work was grouped categorically for the respective subcommittees to address. .

THE COVID-19
TASK FORCE REPORT

The resulting work of the committee was published and distributed to the chapters of Kappa Alpha Psi via the document entitled, "The COVID-19 Task Force Report." That document has been and will continue to be amended to offer the most relevant and safest set of operating procedures and protocols for our membership, as circumstances dictate.
